These adorable little birds fledged from a nest in a hydrangea flower pot on my front porch. The mother carefully dug a slight depression in the soil under the cover of the plants leaves. She built her nest entirely out of pine needles and laid four little eggs. I was so excited to watch them hop around on my porch after leaving the nest that I immediately painted these two miniatures. The paintings are 4"x6" oil on hardboard and are available at Art Central Gallery in Summerville, S.C.They are framed in a silver leaf (top) and a gold leaf frame (bottom)-sold.
Thank you for visiting!
