Red Tailed Hawk

When I lived in New York state I saw these hawks everywhere. If you drove down the highway you could see red tailed hawks in trees and perched on mile markers along the roadside. They seem to have adapted to man's changes to the natural landscape. They must find food plentiful in the open fields and mowed areas. I love the intense look in this hawks eye. This is a 6"x 6" oil painting on hard board.
